State, county, federal candidates invited to submit candidate columns

The Rio Rancho Observer is inviting candidates in the 2026 general November elections to submit guest columns of up to 450 words.

Columns must focus on the candidate's platform and plans for the community. References to opponents will not be allowed to avoid requests for rebuttals. Any space referencing opponents will be forfeited. 

Columns will be run on a first-come, first-published basis. Submissions, including a headshot, should be emailed to editor@rrobserver.com by noon Thursday, May 21, in order to meet print deadlines ahead of the June 2 primary election.
