Police investigate juvenile Halloween party shooting

Rio Rancho Police Department confirmed Oct. 30 that shots were fired at a Halloween party involving juveniles over the weekend.

"It was a party with juveniles where at least one individual shot into the air. The incident is still under investigation," Capt. Jacquelynn Reedy of RRPD said of the Oct. 26 incident.

Reedy added that speculation and misinformation was spreading online about it being related to Rio Rancho's high schools. Nothing has been confirmed at this time.

If anyone has information about the incident, they are asked to contact RRPD.
