Rio Rancho to mark Veterans Day with parade and ceremony

RIO RANCHO — The city of Rio Rancho will host a Veterans Day parade and ceremony Tuesday, Nov. 11.

The event will begin at 10 a.m., and the parade route will go along Southern Boulevard, between Country Club Drive and Pinetree Road, according to a city news release.

The parade will include 41 entries making their way down the route, which will be closed during the event.

The ceremony following the parade, set for 11 a.m. at Veterans Monument Park, will feature Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull recognizing Veterans Day. Speakers from miliary/veterans’ organizations will touch on the history and importance of the holiday.

City officials and facilities will be closed to mark the holiday, according to the release.
