Annual Bowl-A-Thon set for June

RIO RANCHO — ARCA Opening Doors and ARCA Organics, agencies that provide services for individuals with intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities, are once again hosting the annual Bowl-A-Thon at Tenpns & More June 7.

The 14th annual bowling event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including some returning and new aspects.

This year, in a change of pace, the event will include a silent auction of experiences including destination vacations and tickets to local attractions. There will also be a costume contest for best beach attire.

Returning to the event is the annual Mayors on Strike, which will include Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull and mayors from around the state to bring awareness to ARCA’s cause.

Participants will get a chance to win prizes, and there will be a sponsored lunch.
