Workshop aids veterans with benefits process

RIO RANCHO — Veterans are invited to a Veterans Workshop Event from 3-5 p.m. July 16 at 4132 Jackie Road SE.

Representatives from the Department of Veterans Services will be present to advise veterans on the programs and benefits available to them. They will also be able to apply for benefits during the event, including a new park and camping pass approved by the Legislature.

Attendees will need to bring their DD214, award letter and proof of residence.

Additionally, Sen. Craig Brandt, Rep. Catherine Cullen and Rep. Alan Martinez, whose Legislative District Office is holding the event, will be on hand to talk with attendees. Snacks will also be provided.
