Almost the weekend RR! On this sunny Thursday there isn’t much chance of anything except for a light breeze now and again.

With that in mind, it’s a good day to have a barbecue and maybe throw some ribs on the smoker. The still weather makes for perfect temperature on that grill.

“There’s going to be a period of time where the heat and the rain come in waves. That’s just the monsoon pattern in New Mexico,” said Albuquerque National Weather Service Meteorologist Randall Herdgert.

He also warned that areas with burn scars will likely still flood. So be careful traveling.

Today will be sunny and clear with a high of 93 and a low of 66. There is also a slight chance of 5-10 mph winds.
