Sandoval County was one of 11 counties recognized with a 2023 Risk Awareness Program Award during the New Mexico Counties 2024 Legislative Conference Thursday.

The RAP is a workplace risk control educational program that aims to reduce the frequency and severity of county claims through better risk awareness and safety practices. Twenty counties currently participate in the RAP.

Sandoval County was recognized for successfully completing year nine of NM Counties’ Risk Awareness Program and reducing multi-line claims by 57.
