RRPS students featured at next astronomers meeting
RIO RANCHO — As part of its meeting 7:30 p.m. meeting Feb. 20, the Rio Rancho Astronomical Society is recognizing Rio Rancho Public Schools Science Expo award winners.
"Special guest speakers will be several Rio Rancho Public School Science EXPO students who received our Excellence in Astronomy or Space Science award," a release on the meeting states.
Some of the students are moving on to a regional competition, according to the release.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Telescopes will be available for public stargazing after the meeting, weather permitting.
The meeting will be at the observatory behind Rainbow Pool.
