RRPD to host K9 competition and car show

RIO RANCHO — Rio Rancho Police Department will host K9s and Cars, a K9 competition and car show, June 14 at the Rio Rancho Events Center.

"This event is free to the public and will feature local shop vendors, food trucks, live music and activities for kids of all ages," a press release states.

Both parts of the event will have awards for top K9 teams and best car categories.

RRPD K9 Officers and their handlers as well as other officers and police service dogs from agencies across the Southwest will participate. The competition will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The car show will feature all makes and models. It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
