RRFR warns community of scam
RIO RANCHO — Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue posted publicly Aug. 13 that scammers are calling for money on their behalf.
"We have been notified that there is a scam circulating asking people for money to support Rio Rancho Fire Rescue, RIO RANCHO FIRE RESCUE WILL NEVER CALL TO ASK FOR MONEY!," a social media post states.
It also warns people to not give out sensitive financial information.
Those receiving the scam calls are asked to report them to Rio Rancho Police Department.
