RR Astronomical Society hosting show and tell

RIO RANCHO — The Rio Rancho Astronomical Society's Jan. 23 meeting will be a show-and-tell event.

"The club is hosting a 'show and tell' so we can show off our new equipment. If you or a family member has gotten a new telescope over the holidays that you need help with, bring it to the meeting and we will assist," a release on the event states.

The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Telescopes will be available for public stargazing after the meeting, weather permitting. The meeting will be held at Rainbow Park Observatory, 301 Southern Blvd., behind the Rainbow Pool. Attendees are encouraged to dress warmly for the potentially cold night.
