The 19th edition of Rio Rancho's Sunday is Funday is around the corner, and registration is now open.
The Mayor's Sunday is Funday will run from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 18 at Haynes Park. The theme this year is "Community Unity."
Last year, more than 6,000 people showed up to enjoy summer activities and vendors.
"You’ll find many exciting events and musical entertainment, along with budget-friendly food, at this fun family-style picnic," it reads on the website.
The event schedule, map and participant list have will be available as the event approaches.
Sunday is Funday is sponsored and coordinated by the Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club and Community Service Partners. After paying event expenses, proceeds will benefit youth programs in Rio Rancho.
