The Albuquerque National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning from 11 am this morning to 9 pm tonight.

Critical to extreme fire weather conditions are expected across portions of central New Mexico and all of eastern New Mexico as a disturbance approaches the area. Southwest winds will strengthen in the presence of widespread low double digit and single digit minimum relative humidity. Durations of single digit relative humidity will exceed 5 hours in some areas of heavier fuels. A repeat of critical fire weather conditions is forecast Friday across much of eastern and portions of central New Mexico.

Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Thursday- Patchy blowing dust after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71 and a low around 42. Windy, with a southwest wind 5 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
