BERNALILLO — A man was arrested for trafficking fentanyl in Bernalillo.

Bradley Sandoval, 44, of Farmington, was arrested Jan. 25 for possession of a controlled substance and trafficking at the Bernalillo Shopping Center.

A criminal complaint states a patrol officer saw three people sitting below a "no trespassing or loitering" sign in the parking lot just after midnight. Police reportedly received several calls for people in that area.

One of the subjects, Sandoval, had a felony warrant for his arrest so officers detained him. During a search, police found a container containing four blue pills consistent with fentanyl. Corrections also found a Ziplock bag with a blue powdery substance believed to be fentanyl dust. The bag weighed 20.3 grams. Police note it did not appear to be an amount for personal use.
