Emergency Alert for severe winds issued for Rio Rancho
Looking towards the Sandia Mountains, visibility is blocked by a wall of sand.
It is windy in Rio Rancho this March 18 and windy enough to cause problems.
The National weather service sent out a wind warning at around 1:20 p.m. saying the storm would last until 4:15 p.m. Winds will gust as high as 60 to 65 miles per hour.
"Be ready for sudden drop to zero visibility. Pull aside, stay alive!," it reads in the alert.
It advises people to put their car in park far away from the roads.
