COVID test positivity rate, case counts continue to rise in NM

The number of New Mexicans contracting COVID-19 continues to steadily rise, as both case counts and daily test positivity rate numbers are still trending up.

The state Department of Health reported Monday there were 1,028 new cases spanning three days, with a test positivity rate of about 6.3 percent.

There are currently 61 people hospitalized in New Mexico for COVID-19 as of Monday, including eight patients on ventilators. NMDOH also reported 16 new COVID-19 deaths on Monday.

NMDOH also reported 388 new cases (with a test positivity rate with just over 4.8 percent) and seven new COVID-19 deaths this past Friday.
