CORRALES — The village has a new clerk.

As of Feb. 10, former Clerk Melanie Romero is the administrator for Corrales and Mandy Wolf has been approved as the clerk. Councilors unanimously approved the appointment at their regular meeting.

"I am so grateful for this opportunity. I know that I have 'big shoes' to fill," Wolf said.

She stated Romero did an "amazing job" for the village and now as the administrator, continues that work.

"I hope to live up to her legacy," she said.

Though there weren't any comments about the appointment, Wolf's resume speaks for itself.

"Highly motivated professional with diverse experience supporting executives and sales teams. Organized planner and problem solver who readily adapts to change, works independently as needed, and strives to exceed expectations," her profile reads.

Wolf's experience includes administrative work, banking, sales and, more recently, as an executive assistant for the Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority and a secretary at a local New Mexico high school.

She also has an associate degree of applied science and business administration with a certification in human resources management.

Wolf said she looks forward to working with Mayor Fred Hashimoto, Romero, the councilors and staff.
