Constellations topic of next Astronomical Society meeting

RIO RANCHO — The Rio Rancho Astronomical Society will host its regular monthly meeting June 27 at Rainbow Park Observatory, 301 Southern Blvd.

Dr. John Ryan will discuss constellations in antiquity, particularly Greek and Roman cultures, and their use by astronomers, poets and rules.

The free, public meeting begins at 7:30 p.m., and telescopes will be available for public stargazing after the meeting, weather permitting.
