BERNALILLO — Bernalillo Police confirmed Feb. 26 they are investigating a death.
BPD identified the decedent as Lawrence Castillo.
"Yesterday afternoon, officers responded to 315 Avenida Bernalillo after receiving reports of a shooting victim," the department Facebook reads.
According to the post, detectives began a death investigation with assistance from the New Mexico State Police in processing the scene.
Although this investigation is still in its early stages, BPD states they believe that the incident was isolated.
