Bernalillo reports series of drug busts in early December

BERNALILLO — The first week of December was full of drug busts in Bernalillo.

According to a series of social media posts by the town of Bernalillo Police Department, officers confiscated several grams and pounds of varying types of drugs on Dec. 1-5.

The first bust on Dec. 1 was the result of a search warrant. A Facebook post states 1,681 fentanyl pills, 195.9 grams of methamphetamine, 3.9 grams of powdered fentanyl and $425 were found.

A Dec. 2 search warrant allowed them to find several items in a backpack and a vehicle. They state they found fentanyl pills and powder, meth and Xanax. Additionally, in the backpack, two fentanyl pills and 38 grams of meth were found.

On Dec. 4, officers found meth and heroin in the purse of an individual who was arrested for criminal trespass. A K9  indicated the presence of drugs or narcotics in the purse, the post reads.

Lastly, on Dec. 5, officers found 2.16 grams of meth and a glass pipe during a traffic stop. The driver was arrested and booked.
