2026 Filing day approaches for county candidates
Applications open for election temps
SANDOVAL COUNTY — It's almost time for county filing day.
Sandoval County Clerk Anne Brady-Romero reminded prospective candidates Feb. 25 that Declarations of Candidacy and candidate qualification documents must be submitted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 10 in the Commission Chambers on the third floor of the County Administration Building.
“To be on the ballot for the June 2, 2026, Primary Election, candidates must file on March 10, 2026,” Brady-Romero said in the announcement.
For individuals filing for candidacy, the Sandoval County 2026 Candidate Filing Know Before You Go provides complete process details, including where to file, what to file and candidate filing forms. If you need additional information, contact the Bureau of Elections at 505-867-7577 or visit SCNMVote.com.
In addition to those applications, there is a form available for temp messengers to apply as well. The start date is April 18 and full-time and part-time positions are available. The work would be temporary and last for one to two months.
