Galloping Goat takes Rio Rancho into fall season

Published Modified

RIO RANCHO — The start of fall is just around the corner, and the signal of that seasonal change is currently setting up at the Rio Rancho Events Center.

The Galloping Goat Pumpkin Patch will be in its usual spot at the large upper parking lot of the venue starting Sept. 27-28, and will remain there from Oct. 1 to Halloween.

The patch will offer a plethora of activities, including a corn pit, duck races, mini golf, a corn maze, pumpkin bowling and more, according to the website. All activities are free with admission.

At the petting zoo, families will get a chance to cuddle with baby goats, lambs, ducks and chickens.

And of course, there’s the pumpkin patch, which does charge a fee to get a pumpkin.

The crops, including the pumpkins, are sourced from local New Mexico farms.
