Upscale Rio announces closure

RIO RANCHO — A local restaurant has closed for good.
Upscale Rio, which opened in July 2023, announced via their social media that they will permanently close Dec. 4. They said it was an extremely difficult decision.
"It has been wonderful serving our community, and we want to thank all of you who have enjoyed the food we have loved to make and serve," the post reads.
While the Upscale location is closing, the sister location Lily and Liam Bistro will remain open, it states.
It added that people who have Upscale gift cards can use them at Lily and Liam instead.
A reason for the closing has not been shared at this time.
