RIO RANCHO — More community meetings about Castelion Corporation's Project Ranger are scheduled for next week, according to a social media post from the city of Rio Rancho.

The company announced last month that the 1,000-acre solid rocket motor manufacturing campus, focused on hypersonics, would be coming to Sandoval County.

The announcement of the community meetings and office hours with Castelion comes after a contentious Nov. 13 Rio Rancho Governing Body meeting where several council members expressed interest in having sessions scheduled in their districts.

Executives from Castelion Corporation will host office hours from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at The HUB at Enchanted Hills, 7845 Enchanted Hills Blvd NE. Another session of office hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Star Heights Recreation Center, 800 Polaris Blvd. SE.

Additionally, a community meeting is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Mariposa Community Center, 2501 Parkway Ave.

During the sessions, Castelion members will be on hand to provide an overview and answer questions about the hypersonic missile manufacturing and testing facility that will be located 3 miles west of Rio Rancho city limits.
