Gladiators lose shootout in San Antonio

On June 8, the Duke City Gladiators traveled to play the San Antonio Gunslingers for an IFL Saturday night matchup that really lit up the scoreboard.
The Gladiators fought hard, but at the end of the day, the Gunslingers got the win.
The final: Duke City 45, San Antonio 46.
Duke City falls to 1-9 on the season while San Antonio is even stevens at a 5-5 record.
Going into the fourth quarter, Duke City had a 21-14 lead. However, San Antonio rallied to score 32 points in the final quarter and claim the victory.
Gladiator quarterback Hasan Rodgers was a difference maker through the air and on the ground. Rodgers finished the night with 81 rushing yards, 117 passing yards, and five total touchdowns (three passing and two rushing).
Another Gladiator who had a significant impact was wide receiver Terry Tamorrio, who finished with six catches, 136 yards and three touchdowns.
The Gladiators were able to record two sacks but besides that, Gunslingers quarterback Sam Castronova was able to command the game. He had a 135.7 passer rating backed up by four touchdowns through the air and zero turnovers.
The Gladiators will look to bounce back June 15 when the Vegas Knight Hawks come to the Rio Rancho Event Center for a Saturday showdown. The game will begin at 6:05 p.m. and can also be streamed on the Indoor Football League’s YouTube Channel.
