Cleveland High senior Stratton Shufelt (8) has become the Storm’s first-time All-State football player for four consecutive seasons.

Nine Cleveland High School football players and two from Rio Rancho High School have been named first-team members of the Class 6A All-State squads, as announced by the New Mexico High School Coaches Association.

Topping the Storm standouts is four-time All-State first-team linebacker Stratton Shufelt, who also received honorable mention as a punter.

Joining Shufelt with first-team honors for the Storm are defensive back A.J. Manning, running back Harris Mbueha, linebacker Isaac Medrano, offensive linemen Gabe Marquez and Ben Linfoot, defensive linemen Psalmon Kegler and Chuka Tutman, and kicker Miguel Quiñones. Medrano and Kegler were also first-teamers in 2022.

Rio Rancho defensive back Andrew Gustafson and defensive lineman Xavier Provencio were the Rams’ first-team members; it was the second time for Provencio.

Storm slot receiver Jaden Davis, linebacker Marcus La Cuesta and offensive lineman Robert Sabado were named to the second team.

RRHS also had a trio of second-teamers: running back Rayce Ramriez, linebacker Ron Thomas and punter Noah Nelson.

CHS tight end Jon Baca was an honorable-mention selection for the Storm, as were Rio Rancho’s wide receiver Anthony Raymer, linebacker Ryan brown and defensive end Michael Cordero-Gill.
