PLACITAS — “Exhibit’s Featured Artists: Jewelry: A Medium of Symbolic Communication” is coming to The Wild Hearts Gallery which features the work of Geri Verble and Sandy Johnson. The jewelry will be on display until Feb. 2.

Verble specializes in contemporary ethnic jewelry while Johnson has mastered the art of metalsmithing.

An artists’ reception is scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Dec. 14. A portion of sales will go toward Rebuilding Together Sandoval County, a nonprofit dedicated to repairing homes for low-income families.

The First Sunday event will begin at 10 a.m. Jan. 5 with coffee and sweets. The event will feature a gallery talk at noon, which will focus on the artists’ personal connections to their designs and respective artwork.

The Wild Hearts Gallery is located at 221-5 NM 165, Placitas.
