Former state senator to discuss Legislature at Placitas library

PLACITAS — Former New Mexico state Sen. Dede Feldman is coming to Placitas Community Library Jan. 4 to provide insight to the workings of the New Mexico State Legislature.
Feldman served 16 years in the Legislature. She also was a freelance journalist, a teacher and owned a small public relations company.
Feldman will talk about the upcoming 2025 session of the New Mexico Legislature, including the issues it will tackle and the process that follows. The session will build on her book “Inside the New Mexico Senate: Boots Suits and Citizens.”
Feldman is also the author of her memoir “Ten More Doors: Politics and the Path to Change.”
Feldman’s presentation will start at 2 p.m., and signed copies of her books will be available for sale.
