Dust storm warning in effect for Thursday afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a dust storm warning for the area until 5 p.m. Thursday.

The warning says to be ready for a sudden drop to zero visibility and encourages drivers to pull off the road and park if they lose visibility. Headlights should be turned off with the foot remaining on the brake.

Additionally, infants, the elderly and those with respiratory issues are urged to take precautions.
