Wysong Watch: UNM wins a shootout
UNM’s Luke Wysong makes a move after the catch.
LOGAN, Utah — If you haven't been watching University of New Mexico football, you're missing out.
The UNM Lobos (3-4) defeated the Utah State Aggies (1-6) in a shootout Saturday in what was arguably one of the most entertaining college games of the season.
The final: UNM 50, Utah State 45.
UNM scored 50 points, and "balling out" for the Lobos was former Cleveland great Luke Wysong.
Wysong caught the ball 10 times (tied for a career high) for 155 receiving yards. He led the team in both categories.
Wysong impressed the play-by-play announcers and the college analysts, including former Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, who applauded Wysong's play.
Wysong would "salsa dance" on the TV broadcast as he won Cruz's player of the game.
The Lobos will play at Colorado State Oct. 26 as they look to continue their three-game winning streak.
