RRPD to hold fallen officer ceremony
RIO RANCHO — The Rio Rancho Police Department invites the community to a fallen officer ceremony at 9 a.m. May 15 at Veterans Memorial Park.
“The Rio Rancho Police Department cordially invites the Rio Rancho community to honor and remember our brave officers who have served and sacrificed their lives for our safety,” the department said on social media.
The day has been focused on remembering Rio Rancho’s fallen police officers in the past, including officer Nigel Benner, who was shot in the line of duty in 2015, as well as Germaine Casey and Anthony Haase, whose deaths predated Benner’s.
