Rio Rancho offering plenty of sports in January

RIO RANCHO — It might be cold outside, but sports activities are heating up this month in the City of Vision. From sports to family events, there are plenty of reasons to get bundled up and get out of the house.

Swimming lessons and gymnastics are the dominant features of the January calendar, but they aren’t the only things happening. There is plenty for adults to do as well, like Full Body Yoga Class and the Rio Rancho Women’s Fitness Club.

One of the main highlights is the Adult 5v5 basketball league, which kicks off next week and runs through early March.

Mom and dad can get in on the action as well with Parents’ Night Out and Parent and Tot Swim Class.

Registration is online at rrnm.gov/ActiveNet or in person at the Parks and Recreation Office.
