RRHS volleyball taking care of business
RRHS volleyball players are all smiles after their first home win of 2024 season.

"At this point, 7-2 is great. We'll try to win two more this weekend going into October, and then we face the gauntlet of District 1-5A. As usual, it's tough, and we are going to have to bring it every night," RRHS head coach Toby Manzanares said.

The Rams also benefited from stellar play courtesy of kill machines Jacey Mader and Alyssa Domniguez.

"It was really exciting to get our first home win. This is our second home game of the season, and the energy was just there from the crowd, from the stands, and we just put everything into it," Domniguez said.

It was a memorable night for the Rams as they have now won seven-straight after starting the season 0-2.

Senior Alexandria Shane also reached a career milestone and passed the millennium mark for assists.

"I want to thank obviously all my passers and all my hitters because I wouldn't have made it there without them," Shane said.

After the game, Shane got a poster congratulating her for reaching 1,000 assists and took many pictures with family and friends.

"That's really hard to get at, and at any level, to be honest with you. She has put in a lot of time and effort to really hone her craft," Manzanares said. "I am really proud of her, and it is a great accomplishment."
