RIO RANCHO — Vista Grande Elementary School held its Fall Carnival for students and their families Friday.

All attendees were encouraged to wear their Halloween costume. The "Ghostbusters" made an appearance, as did "Wednesday," and one adult even wore a spot-on Rio Rancho Police Department uniform.

Some food trucks parked outside the main gate, including Zia Strong Snac Shac, Shake it Up Lemonade, Ace's Fry Guy and Cerealsly Sweet.

Teachers ran their own booths as did various clubs (Cleveland DECA, VGE PTO, etc.). Some of the many activities included, a giant-sized Candy Land,bean-bag toss, a "treat walk," pumpkin painting, a pie the teacher stand, a spooky obstacle course, and more.

All money made goes toward supporting teachers' classrooms and their students.
