LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Lower speed limit on High Resort

Rio Rancho is growing and more and more people are on our roads at all times of the day.

High Resort, spanning from 528 to Broadmoor, is currently a road with a speed limit of 40 mph, though few keep to this limit. A big park with family and team events take place on this road. People and kids cross this road all the time getting to this park and dog area.

Please - for the sake of our kids and just for safety — please lower the speed limit on High Resort. This road is getting to be a race track, especially in the going to and coming from work hours. Thirty or 35 mph would benefit not only traffic, but the residents in this area. With all the other road construction, road safety and speed is of the utmost importance. Thank you.
