So, Jay Block wants to set up a "Waste, Fraud, and Abuse" monitoring office in the New Mexico state government?

May I suggest that a unit such as this would itself be a source of waste? Because we already have a unit of state government that has this responsibility. It's called the Office of the State Auditor.

Really, Jay?

No wonder the headline in the Rio Rancho Observer read that the effort to pass this pointless bill is "struggling to gain traction."

Seems like Block's fellow legislators already recognize "waste" when they see it.
