I am writing to express my support for the re-election of City Councilors Jim Owen (District 1), Paul Wymer (District 4), and Nicole List (District 6) in Rio Rancho.

In Rio Rancho, where collaborative decision-making is essential for the well-being of our community, it’s imperative to have elected officials who can work together effectively. Incumbent Councilors Owen, Wymer and List have demonstrated their ability to collaborate with both their fellow council members, the mayor and city staff to address the needs of our city.

Under their leadership, Rio Rancho has flourished in various aspects. Our city boasts low crime rates, thanks to the exemplary work of our police and fire/rescue departments. Quality of life amenities have been expanded, contributing to Rio Rancho’s recognition as one of the best places to live nationally. Additionally, record levels of improvements have been made to our road and water/sewer systems, all while maintaining low tax rates and ensuring the city’s financial strength.

The financial well-being of the city has never been stronger. Rio Rancho has recently been recognized by several national agencies such as Moodys, upgrading the city’s bond rating, citing the creation of a permanent fund that will protect Rio Rancho’s financial future. (With) the cleanest audits in the city’s history and 10 straight years of GFOA budget awards, Rio Rancho’s future is bright.

I wholeheartedly endorse incumbents Jim Owen for Council District 1, Paul Wymer for Council District 4, and Nicole List for Council District 6. They understand the needs of our community and have consistently worked to ensure that Rio Rancho continues to progress in the right direction.

I urge my fellow residents to join me in supporting these dedicated leaders by casting their votes for Jim Owen, Paul Wymer and Nicole List in the upcoming election. Together, let’s keep Rio Rancho thriving.

Gregg Hull

Mayor of Rio Rancho
