LETTER: Endorsements spell out political corruption

Politics is full of bad apples. But I find it simple to detect corruption. If you think about it, any candidate claiming endorsement by police/fire, teachers or any other business is admitting corruption. They’re literally saying, “Endorse me and expect a bonus if I win.” They’re not saying, “I’ll be out on the streets fighting crime alongside you guys.” Endorsements are literally saying, “You wash my back, I’ll wash yours”. Yet admission of corruption is a surefire hit by voters to earn the win. Yet America has always been fascinated with criminals.
