LETTER: Appalled by racism, sexism from Trump

I am deeply appalled by the racist and sexist comments by former president Donald Trump and those that support him, hurled against Vice President Kamala Harris. When I hear and see things like this, it is hard for me not to believe we are, at our core, a racist country. I feel this way when I don't hear an outcry and a denouncing of such behavior. Who is standing up against racism? If those same insults were hurled at former president Trump, what would the response be?
