ELECTION 2024 candidate column: Jordan Juarez, Sandoval County Commission District 4

Jordan Juarez

Jordan Juarez was elected for district 4 Sandoval County Commission.

My friends and neighbors, I have been a resident of Rio Rancho since I was a child. Growing up, I had a choice on where I wanted to go; I chose to stay in my home community. I got married to my beautiful wife, and together we are raising our son here. We want him to grow up in our home and allow him, like many of our community’s children and grandchildren, to have a safe and prosperous life. I am running for office to serve the community that afforded me the ability to start a family, and I now want to expand that opportunity to our current and future families. My qualifications allow me the necessary business and leadership skills to take the job. I have a degree in political science; my day job is as an operations manager for an aerospace company, and I serve on the Ethics Board of Sandoval County. My leadership background in education, work and personal experiences has equipped me to serve as your next county commissioner effectively.

I stand firmly behind our law enforcement officers, firefighters and first responders. I am honored to have received endorsements from all four unions representing our city and county’s brave men and women. I am determined to support them so they can continue to serve and protect our community effectively. Together, we will work toward keeping our status as one of the safest counties in New Mexico by equipping, training and meeting the needs of our first responders so that they have the necessary tools to care for us and keep us safe effectively.

In addition to public safety, I am dedicated to fostering a stronger county economy by creating a sustainable budget and revenue stream. I will work to create a business-friendly environment that encourages investment in new businesses while supporting our small and veteran-owned enterprises and promoting entrepreneurship. We must continue to increase job opportunities for our families and make it easier to do business in Sandoval County so that employment matches any skill set and education.

To grow our county, we must improve our infrastructure, particularly our roads, which is a top priority. Our roads are essential to our community’s quality of life. By investing in our community’s infrastructure, we are investing in the longevity and prospects that set a foundation for quality jobs and amenities within our county. I will work with local governments to develop the necessary plans and assist in improving our infrastructure, including updates to our water supply and systems so that residents throughout the county have access to this vital resource.

I am running for county commissioner because, as a lifelong New Mexican, I believe in Sandoval County’s potential future and its residents’ well-being. I will work for you and be the voice of my community. I humbly request your support to make this vision a reality. Let’s work together to create a brighter future for our families and community.

Vote for Jordan Juarez — because our future matters.
