As Election Day approaches, I want to share why I’m running to represent House District 23 and why I’m asking for your vote. Our community is at a pivotal moment, and we need leadership that prioritizes people and practical solutions. My commitment is to serve our district with integrity, experience and a focus on the future.

I come from a background of service, having been a Marine drill instructor and a small business owner. These roles have shaped my understanding of hard work, leadership and accountability. As someone who has been a responsible gun owner for 45 years, I know the importance of balancing rights with safety, and I will bring these values to my role as your representative.

One of my top priorities is improving our district’s infrastructure, specifically the expansion of Paseo Del Volcán. This project is essential to reducing traffic congestion, promoting economic growth and improving the quality of life in our region. As your representative, I will advocate for the necessary funding to complete this project, which will make our community more attractive for businesses and enhance daily life for residents.

I am also deeply committed to addressing New Mexico’s alcohol abuse crisis. Our state has one of the highest rates of alcohol-related deaths, and it’s time we tackle this issue head-on. I support directing alcohol tax revenue to treatment and prevention programs. By doing so, we can focus on long-term solutions that help individuals and families struggling with addiction, improving public health and saving lives.

As a small business owner, I understand the challenges entrepreneurs face, from navigating regulations to managing rising costs. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and I will work to ensure that they thrive by advocating for policies that reduce unnecessary regulations, lower taxes and provide incentives for growth. Creating a business-friendly environment will lead to more jobs and economic opportunities for all.

Throughout my campaign, I’ve made it a point to listen to the concerns of the people in House District 23. Whether it’s improving education, supporting veterans or ensuring public safety, I am committed to addressing the issues that matter most to you. I believe in collaboration and finding common ground to get things done. Our challenges are too important to let partisanship get in the way of progress.

I am running for this office because I believe in putting people over party. I’m not beholden to any special interests, and my only focus is what’s best for our community. Together, we can build a brighter future for House District 23 — one where businesses flourish, families thrive and everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

I respectfully ask for your vote in this election. Let’s work together to create a stronger, more prosperous future for our community.

P.S. Vote YES! on Constitutional Amemdment 1 for military veteran, service connected disability, property tax exemptions.
