Youth groups to gather for eclipse

The Oct. 14 annular eclipse will have yet another group observing it. A large gathering of youth organizations will be at Community of Joy Church on Northern Blvd. to participate in eclipse activities from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Boy Scout Troops 24B (boys) and 24G (girls) will be running eclipse activities for Cub Scouts. Civil Air Patrol Cadet squadrons from Rio Rancho and SAMS Academy will be gathering scientific data for NASA.

The groups expect at least 75 people to participate.
