Watermelon Mountain Ranch participating in Great American Rescue Bowl adoption event
Watermelon Mountain Ranch, a Rio Rancho-based animal shelter, is participating in the Great American Rescue Bowl adoption event from Feb. 5-11 at all of its locations.
“The main facility will feature long-term pets with reduced adoption fees. Offsite locations will have giveaways for each adopter and chances to win prizes,” the website states.
The bowl itself takes place at 10 a.m. Feb. 11. Each team, The Cuddlers and The Adorables, is made up of kitten and puppy players. The first half of the game will be played by the kittens, and the second half will be played by the puppies.
Adoption fees will be essentially cut in half nationwide for participating shelters.
