Water valve replacement closes lanes on Broadmoor

The city of Rio Rancho replaced a water valve at the intersection of Broadmoor and Loma Colorado on Monday.

The replacement closed both southbound lanes on Broadmoor from Northern to Loma Colorado.

Some homes in the area were expected to experience little to no water pressure during the repair.

The current estimated repair time was 8-10 hours, but lanes were still closed Tuesday morning.

Southbound Broadmoor from Fruta to Loma Colorado remained closed for utility repair early Tuesday before being re-opened in the afternoon.
