Tapia Promotions announces boxing event at Rio Rancho Events Center

Teresa Tapia, the wife of the late boxing legend Johnny Tapia, announced a boxing card set for Feb. 24 at Rio Rancho Events Center.

The card, which is promoted by Tapia and Joseph Kelly, will air on pay-per-view on FITE TV. Tickets are expected to go on sale soon.

Boxers announced for the card:

  • Nico Hernandez (9-0)
  • Sean Garcia (6-0-1)
  • Josh Torres (24-7-2)
  • Jose Luis Castillo Jr. (25-3-3)
  • Abel Mendoza (33-0)
  • Santos Ortega (7-0)
  • Amateur Nicco Tapia, the son of Johnny and Teresa
