'Tan Pants' bank robber strikes again, this time in grey pants
The FBI and Rio Rancho Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to identify the Tan — now Grey — Pants Bandit, who is wanted for multiple bank robberies in the Rio Rancho and surrounding area.
According to the FBI, his most recent known robbery was the Washington Federal Bank, 2518 Southern Blvd. SE, at approximately 4:25 p.m. May 3.
The suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller, who handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect. He is described as a white male approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He is a stocky build and was wearing a blue hat, black face mask, a black long-sleeve shirt, grey skinny pants and glasses in the most recent robbery.
These are the other bank robberies the Tan/Grey Pants Bandit is wanted for: First Financial Credit Union of Rio Rancho, 2201 Rio Rancho Blvd. SE, at approximately 5:15 p.m. March 4; Rio Grande Credit Union of Rio Rancho, located at 1526 Unser Blvd. SE, at approximately 4:45 p.m. April 1; Bank of Albuquerque, 6600 Fourth St. NW, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, at approximately 4:55 p.m. May 23.
