Students selected for junior treasurer program
BERNALILLO — Four students have been selected for the annual Sandoval County Junior Treasurer Program, according to a Tuesday social media announcement.
County Treasurer Jennifer Taylor said six students applied and that she is pleased with the four who were accepted. She added the curriculum for the program is in the works.
“These students will experience firsthand how local government, specifically the Treasurer’s office, works,” the post reads.
Joining the program for the August 2025 start to a fall semester are Bernalillo High School senior Isaac Baca, Cuba High School junior Danielle Moody, ASK Academy junior Michael Putkaradze and Cleveland High School senior Faith Young.
“I look forward to them joining our team,” Taylor said.
She commended the students on their qualifying essays.
