Continuing through Sept. 11, the Sandoval County Senior Volunteer Program and AmeriCorps Senior programs are partnering in a national service project in remembrance of Sept. 11. The groups are hosting a special community drive for food that is “ready to eat.”

On behalf of St. Felix Pantry, the groups are asking for donations of the following:

  • Protein bars
  • Pop-top, ready-to-eat foods like soup, macaroni and cheese, pasta or ravioli
  • Applesauce or fruit cups
  • Canned meats
  • Ramen cups

Food donations can be dropped off at the Corrales Senior Center, Bernalillo Senior Center, Placitas Senior Center, Jemez Senior Center, Cuba Senior Center and Pena Blanca Community Center.
