Second fire occurs at Pontiac Drive home
Rio Rancho Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire on March 1 in the 600 block of Pontiac Drive.
“Upon arrival the residence was confirmed to be fully involved with fire. Due to a previous fire at this location and the lack of structural integrity of the home, crews immediately began extinguishing the fire from the outside preventing an extension to the neighboring homes or vegetation. The fire was extinguished without incident,” Chief James DeFillippo said.
The homeowner was not on site and no injuries were reported.
The fire is being investigated in by Rio Rancho Police and the RRFR fire marshal in a collaborative effort.
An incident report of the fire has been requested from the city of Rio Rancho.
