RIO RANCHO— On Oct. 14, Rio Rancho Public Schools announced it is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Hall of Honor.

According to a news release from the district, those eligible to be nominated for this award include former school board members, community members/businesses, former RRPS staff members, government officials and school district volunteers.

“The RRPS School Board Hall of Honor was established to recognize extraordinary service over an extended period ... to the children of Rio Rancho and Rio Rancho Public Schools,” the district said in the release. “Selection to the Hall of Honor is the highest recognition bestowed by the RRPS Board of Education.”

Since its opening in 2014, RRPS has named 19 individuals to the Hall of Honor, including notable individuals and businesses such as Don Chalmers, Margarita “Maggie” Moreno Cordova and Intel.

Nominations will be accepted through Saturday, Nov. 2.
